Anyone who knows me knows that I’m an avid baseball fan. I get teased alot for it being female. From Spring Training games in March through the end of the regular season in September, if I’m not at the game in person, there is either a radio or tv around with *the* game on just about every day. Sunday was the last game of these season for my beloved Mariners.

Don’t get me wrong, I like football. Peyton Manning is my favorite QB. It’s just that football is one day a week (well two if you like who’s playing on Monday night). It’s just not the same. Baseball is 3 hours almost every day.. 160+games every year. Football (if you’re just watching *your* team) is 3 hours one day a week for about 20 weeks. I just don’t stay as geared up for it. Sure the Seahawks have the loudest fans in football. A game at Qwest Field is something to be experienced..

But.. I love my Mariners.. Safeco Field.. and the Diamond Club.. and have for years..

Yes, the season has sucked for the Mariners(second worse record in baseball this year), but a true fan takes the good years with the bad…and there have been some very good years. If the Ms aren’t in the post season, my attention turns to the RedSox. I’m glad they have the AL-East Wildcard spot. So I’ll get to watch a bit more baseball in October.

The playoffs this year should be interesting. I’m glad to see the Cubbies there. I enjoyed Lou Pinella when he was with the Mariners. He had a terrible time in Tampa Bay and now with Chicago he’s doing well. Funny that Tampa Bay has clinched a spot also. And the Phillies…Jamie Moyer has been pitching there the last couple of seasons. It would be great to see him with some playoff success. Then there’s the ever-dominating Los Angeles Angels.

So.. who do you think will go to the World Series? Who do you think will win?
